I’m going to fast forward a little while to the month of June 2016. Noah has had a few more operations since and is doing really well! Noah is now 6 months old, and is just starting to manage to support his head and lay on his tummy!

We were at home, going on days out as a family. I was starting to love my life again!
One bit I missed out was the Noah has a little valve inserted under the skin on his scalp. It’s there incase the pressure in Noah’s skull increases to a point they need to drain some fluid. They can now just stick a needle in the bubble and drain.
Please forgive me, the next couple of months were manic. I haven’t got many photos to help me remember the timeline.
One day late August, we were at home relaxing on the sofa waiting for the community nurse to come and see us. Noah was sleeping on the sofa next to us when his arms went rigid and shook, for quite some time. Moments later the nurse turned up and we explained what had just happened.
“Oh, don’t be silly. That’s just a stretch”.
Maybe we were just being daft. But it didn’t feel right.
A few hours later, it happened again. But Liv and I both had that gut feeling that we needed to take Noah into hospital, so that’s where we went.
We walked straight into the pediatric ward and spoke with the doctor explained what was happening.
Not long later we found ourselved being back in Intensive care at GOSH, at least here, we felt safe. Pressure was drained from Noah, but we found that he had a bleed on the brain and it had done some damage. That day, Noah had another bleed, so he had an operation to reduce the pressure and stop anymore from happening.
It was too late.
The damage that had been caused by the bleeds were too much. Noah was having seizures and doctor believe he had lost his eyesight.

I’m going to leave it here. The next post wont be pretty, so leave that bit out if you wish.
